Remedy for Improvement of Organizational Behaviors-Part 5 - Essay Example Sexual orientation separation was seen in the association and just as inclinations against more seasoned representatives. Another negative demeanor saw in the association was that administration don't give up any mix-up of the workers, regardless of how little it is and there is a next to no intercession seen on the administration side. All these make a negative effect on the association. Spending restriction is another issue and the legislature ought to explain it. As a supervisor, following advances can be taken so as to conquer these negative perspectives in the association: As indicated by Drucker (2006) ââ¬Å"Effective administrators don't begin with their assignments. They start with their time.â⬠As a chief, one must model positive conduct to all the workers, and it should never be negative. Why Are You Afraid to Quit Smoking
Why Are You Afraid to Quit Smoking Addiction Nicotine Use How to Quit Smoking Print Why Are You Afraid to Quit Smoking? How to Avoid Setting Yourself Up for Failure By Terry Martin facebook twitter Terry Martin quit smoking after 26 years and is now an advocate for those seeking freedom from nicotine addiction. Learn about our editorial policy Terry Martin Updated on January 07, 2020 Peter Dazeley/Photographers Choice/Getty Images More in Addiction Nicotine Use How to Quit Smoking After You Quit Nicotine Withdrawal Smoking-Related Diseases The Inside of Cigarettes Alcohol Use Addictive Behaviors Drug Use Coping and Recovery As of Dec. 20, 2019, the new legal age limit is 21 years old for purchasing cigarettes, cigars, or any other tobacco products in the U.S. On the surface, it doesnt seem to make any sense. Despite the fact that everyone fully understands the dangers of smoking, many continue to do so even when faced with the threat of serious illness and disability. While logic would suggest that stopping is the only option, there are clearly many factors standing in the way of those who have tried to quit and failed. Is it simply the lack of willpower thats to blame, or is there something deeper at play? Understanding Nicotine Dependence If you have not been able to quit, the first thing you need to do is stop beating yourself up. Despite frequent claims that it can take up to eight attempts before you are able to stop, new research suggests that it may, in fact, take more than 30. There is no downplaying the fact that quitting can be tough. Cigarettes contain nicotine, a highly addictive substance that quickly travels to the brain when inhaled. It creates a temporary sense of relaxation while elevating both the mood and heart rate. It this these effects smokers turn to for stress relief or as a means to unwind. The problem is that its only a temporary fix. As soon as your body rids itself of these chemicals, you start to crave another. And, because the half-life of the drug is so short, you need to top up regularly to sustain the mood and avoid symptoms of withdrawal. What to Expect from Nicotine Withdrawal Over time, as the body begins to adapt to the nicotine, it responds far less. As a result, you need to increase the frequency of your smoking to achieve the desired effect. By this point, there is no way you can call it a habit. It is a full-out addiction to which you are chemically and psychologically dependent. Setting Yourself Up for Failure Even beyond the physical aspects of nicotine addiction, smoking has strong psychological components. It is why people reach for a cigarette when stressed. It offers immediate relief to situations they perceive to be beyond their control. But, is this really the case? Over the long term, the opposite appears to be true. As a persons health begins to sufferâ"from airway constriction to increased blood pressureâ"stress levels will invariably rise as stress tolerance plummets. Health Risks and Diseases of Smoking Therefore, to stop smoking, you need to first find ways to deal with stress before embarking on a ?cessation plan. Otherwise, you may be setting yourself up for failure. By finding new stress-management techniques, you will be halfway to kicking the habit by removing the psychological barriers that have been standing in your way. Here are some of the things you can do: Rather than reaching for a cigarette, get up and take a walk whenever you feel stressed. The aim is to channel your stress into physical activity which can stimulate the production of endorphins and help elevate your mood. Just keep walking until the cravings pass.Teach yourself stress relief techniques like deep yoga breathing in which you focus on the sensation and rate of your breathing. This and other meditative techniques can slow the heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and alleviate even deep-seeded tension.Cut back on substances that either stimulate you (such as caffeine) or slow you down (like alcohol). The more you are able to manage your moods without enhancements, the better able you will be to overcome your smoking dependence.Routine exercise can elevate your mood and leave you feeling stronger and better about yourself. Poor physical health does just the opposite, draining you of the energy reserves you need to cope. Exercise and a healthy diet are, without doubt, the be st forms of stress relief. Finally, phone a friend. When faced with stress, it is better to find support than to rely on the solitude of cigarettes. Youre going to need these friends on your journey to quit anyway. By letting loved ones in, you provide yourself a healthier outlet for emotions and will be better equipped when its finally time to quit. Practical Tools to Help You Quit Smoking A Word From Verywell Nicotine is no less of an addiction than any other form of addiction, and we need to stop minimizing it by calling it a habit. By placing it in the proper context, you will be better prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead. In the end, succeeding is about more than just willpower. Without focus and strategy, willpower can leave you stranded. The most important thing is to keep trying and to learn from each attempt. The only real failure is quitting on yourself.

Lolita A Literary Work of Art Essay - 2061 Words
Art does not need to be beautiful to be art. Although that may have been the prevailing definition according to aesthetic theorists throughout history of art, it is not a requirement of art. Art does not necessarily need to bring pleasure to the viewer; art can be disturbing. What makes it art is that it communicates feelings between the artist and evokes these feelings with others. Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov, although critiqued to be dark and twisted, should be considered a work of art. Nabokov wrote the book intentionally and with a purpose; he explored the emotions deliberately and managed to find the right words to express his work to the readers. Lolita draws the reader in not only because it was written so eloquently but alsoâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦According to Tolstoy, Lolita would most likely not be considered a work of art. In order for me to fully appreciate his work I would have to adopt Kantââ¬â¢s view and look at it disinterestedly, so I can set aside all morals and see if Lolita is able to express a universal feeling. However, Danto would disagree by saying that in the 20th century it is impossible to say whether an object is or isnââ¬â¢t a piece of art especially based on the criteria that Tolstoy has presented that must be met. According to Tolstoy, the true purpose of art is connected to our abilities to feel emotion. ââ¬Å"To evoke in oneself a feeling one has once experienced, and having evoked it in oneself, then, by means of movements, lines, colors, sounds, or forms expressed in words, so to transmit that feeling that others may experience the same feeling - this is the activity of artâ⬠(Tolstoy,66 ). Much like food is necessary for sustenance, art is necessary for our sympathetic capacities. In order for this form of communication to occur, the artist must have the capacity to express and transmit through his art, while the audience must have the capacity for sympathy in order to feel the artistââ¬â¢s expre ssion. According to Tolstoy, simply transmitting an emotion is not enough to define art. A true work of art must be infectious to its audience and be able to express individual feelings lucidly and purposefully.Show MoreRelatedAnalysis Of The Courier s Tragedy 1698 Words à |à 7 PagesFirst of all, their syntax is dense. The core Essay The CoreThe core was a scientific fiction movie about how the Earth stopped spinning on its axis. The problem rooted at the core of the Earth. It caused the atmosphere to weaken and therefore made the Earth vulnerable to the solar winds from the sun. If this problem had not been solved it would have been the end of the world and life on the planet would have ceased to exist. However the U.S. government seemed it fit to try to stop this from occurring by sending a team of scientists to start the inner core of the Earth. The Earths inner core is a continuously spinning ball of molten metal. The core is the control center of all the electrical activity such as lightning and the Northern Lights otherwise known as the Aurora Borealis. As the problem increased in danger, the effects seemed to show. Birds began to crash because to navigate over long distances with electro magnetic fields inside their skulls. When the core stopped spinning the birds lost their ability to navigate and therefo re crashed into every wall they came across. The scientists figured if they were able to start the core up again they would be able to save the world from utter and complete destruction. Eventually the government sent the scientists down to the core in a ship that could drill trough the earth. They eventually reached the core and started the core with a group of nuclear bombs which they blew in a pattern because the outer core was too thin and unable to hold in the power of the nukes. Since it was a movie the mission was a success and the world was saved even though there were lost lives going through the process.

Blue Jeans Essays - Marketing, Management, Strategic Management
Blue Jeans Essays - Marketing, Management, Strategic Management Blue Jeans Marketing Plan for the introduction of Wide-bottom jeans Business Mission Purpose In order to understand why the Wide-bottom Jeans Group exists, it is inalienable to especially focus on one person, the founder and the core of the company Christie Clark. Her personality alone already legitimates the purpose of the company, playing the role of the every positive thinking entrepreneur, that is strongly drawing together stakeholders and employees by showing them that they can commit themselves to the business not only because of financial benefits. Clark's and therefore Wide-bottoms higher ideal just simply seems to be to have fun and find new challenges while doing business. Strategy Wide-bottoms core strategy seems to be to go into those markets were complacent industries have held high prices for years because of their monopolistic size. And they try to take an advantage of that complacentness. The markets itself can not be defined exactly as the Wide-bottom Group never had a core business thing. Thus the business where Wide-bottom wants to be in is also hard to define, but there is an opportunity for Wide-bottom wherever the monopolistic position of a competitor can be beaten. Another basic strategy of the Wide-bottom group is always to use its undoubtedly strong brand name which is one of the view that is elastic enough to bind together a clutch of diverse products without snapping. It is part of Clarks strategy that the Brand name is not so much a product that it stands for, rather it stands for values: youth, iconoclasm, cheeky and perky informality. This provides the Wide-bottom Group with a flexibility that is almost unbeatable in terms of brand name. The key is to make sure that the Wide-bottom name stays fresh and not to overuse it, and certainly the product has to have a certain quality. The third part of any Wide-bottom strategy that has to be emphasized, is the strategy of public figure marketing. Like no other entrepreneur in Longview, Texas, Christie Clark has the talent to market her products by going into the media with extraordinary actions that get her into the front-pages of the newspapers without paying any money for this advertisement. Company Values The values seems to be having fun in the business and to do things differently. The goal of the Wide-bottom Group is to be the ultimate outlet and to provide the best value for money to customers. They believe that there should be some kind of fun to go into the big monopolistic businesses and then shake them up by offering good value quality based products, and a better service and people care to the customers and last but not least to make a profit at the end of the day. Overall the mission statement has clearly been defined by Christie Clark over the last 5 years. She has the Vision, the strategic intent, and she is the motivator for any person who is part of the company. Strengths The Wide-bottom group has the advantage that they are experienced in two different kinds of distribution. Firstly in stationary trade and secondly in mail ordering. The group is far less integrated than other big groups like Daimler or Smiths Industries. This gives Wide-bottom the advantage of higher flexibility. This effect is even more extreme since Wide-bottom has very small Strategic Business Units. The Wide-bottom Group has a strong brand name incorporated by Christie Clark and is experienced in introducing new products in an competitive marketing environment. Weaknesses The strength of being not too integrated into the concern can also be a weakness, when errors are discovered too late because of a too loose supervision or when the support of the mother company becomes insufficient or because of sluggish communication. Christie Clarks chaos approach is therefore less efficient. Opportunities The jeans market is an old and established market. The leading companies - being in the market for a century or more - have established themselves in a monopolistic situation with the help of huge advertising budgets. The magic concept of Christie Clark in the past was to exploit the inefficiency of these kinds of markets normally protected with high barriers of entry. Threats The jeans venture is only one of the many in the big group and could

Heart attack Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Heart attack - Research Paper Example that reduce or block the flow of the blood to the heart muscles thus not only decreasing the supply of the blood and oxygen to the heart but also making the muscles to exert more pressure or force for the blood flow. The blockage in the artery damage heart muscles so that it is not able to function normally and lead to malfunctioning of heart or heart attack. If the blockage is not removed fast, it could be fatal and may result in the death of the person (Antman, 2011). On the inside linings of the one or more coronary arteries, plaques or atheroma develop over a period of time, which narrow the arteries thus obstructing free flow of the requisite amount of blood to the heart muscles. High cholesterol are main causes of thickening of blood vessels. If not treated timely, the thickening of arteries could block the blood flow to heart. Many times, high blood pressure also becomes key causes of heart attack. ââ¬ËInitial treatment requires attention to any precipitating factors, such as hypertension, anemia, congestive heart failure (CHF), tachyarrhythmia and valve diseaseââ¬â¢ (Opie,p351). The other forms of treatment are medicine and surgery as follow: Angioplasty is first option to clear the blockage in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart. A stent is later used within vessel and prevents its closing up. It is a metallic mesh tube that expands artery walls when it is inserted within it (Pifarre & Scanlon, 2001). Complications in the treatment of heart attack occur when the patient has many diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney problems. These diseases help delay the treatment or complicate it. Acute diabetic patients tend to avoid operations as blood clotting is a delayed process which could cause complicity in heart operations. I chose this topic because heart is one of the vital organs of living beings. It pumps oxygen and blood throughout the body for life sustenance and serves as major indicator of health and wellbeing. It is

Discussion Questions and Participation Questions Essay - 2
Discussion Questions and Participation Questions - Essay Example Along with English which the universal business language websites must the capacity to translate its material to other popular languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Japanese. Doing so will increase the reach of the corporate website. Two issues that are important in international transactions are foreign exchange transactions and regulatory compliances. When doing business international companies have to interchange money. Due to the fact that different countries utilize other monetary units other than the dollar the business transactions internationally have to take into consideration the foreign exchange market. A way to protect itself against the risk of a monetary unit going up in the value is to write business contracts in which the parties stipulate the monetary unit that is going to be utilized. Another important issue in international business transactions is the local environmental regulations. Depending on the nation there are different regulations. Performing research on the local laws that apply in international location is the best way to reduce business risk associated with regulatory compliance. You mentioned the importance of knowing the foreign language and the culture of the people. Misunderstanding about cultural issues can lead to major mistakes. For example in India people considered the cow a sacred animal. Fast food chains such as McDonaldââ¬â¢s and Wendyââ¬â¢s would be making a major mistake if they tried to penetrate the India marketplace with their traditional products. In some cultures such as the Chinese culture body language is important. Americans are less formal about body language gestures. Professional databases such as CultureGrams provide great information about the cultures of the different countries in the world. The proliferation of online shopping has become a factor companies cannot ignore anymore. In 2009 e-commerce generated nearly $132 billion in sales in the United States

The major part of the assignment will focus on Identifying professional standards relevant to your identified career pathway, standards and competences and comparison of skills with the required skills. The assignment will be focusing on career objective and planning for a better and secure future and will help to groom the skills to increase the chances for success in graduate recruitment process. The assignment will also cover some aspects of job portals and career planning for next 3 years. Introduction The day we born our beloved people attach some dreams with us and sometimes those dreams becomes the purpose of our living. Sometimes we create our own missions and vision. The only purpose all this serve at the end is success. Success meaning differs from people to people and nature to nature of the people. Humans work hard today to get a better and secure future. Even no matter how much they struggle, plan still they know the future is uncertain but at least they can try to make their own ways. All humans struggle to have a charming future and success in life (Arthur et al., 1995). According to Kotzà ©. K., Roodt, G., (2005) they work hard, make plans, career developments, all this is to avoid fear, fear of insecurity for the future with better career and profession. Our career and chosen profession depends on our nature. And the day we were born our nature started developing. Since the child sent to school, their race towards better career and towards destiny started. The parent s work hard to for their children to give them all facilities, better education, luxury. The only purpose for all this is to develop a good nature of the child. Parents want a return from child for all the hard work they do for them in term of good grades and positions. According to Arthur et al., (1995) the race continuous and the children become mature enough to decide and chose their own pathways. The basic concept behind studying is to secure future and get into a good profession to earn high and to live a luxury life. The image of education is a ladder towards better career and profession. Everyone has their own goals and preferences but the destiny is same success and better career. While the child studying they have given choice to choose a path towards their career in which they want to involve in future. The children have to plan out their academic pathways according to interest as it is going to the first stair towards their career. According to Lane, and Rajan, (2005) Career is stairs toward success or direction towards our destiny. The children have to test themselves by strengths and weakness they have to select a subject and field to continue their studies. Thats the crucial decision which a child has to take, when they dont have enoug h experience, enough knowledge to choose and differentiate between right and wrong. Some children take their decisions by influence from family, friends, and some took help of the career consultant to decide for them. Chosen profession: The profession I want to choose is teaching and I want to become a lecturer at Oxford University in my relevant field which is brand equity. According to Corrie, S., (2003) Teaching is the most respectful and noble profession. Responsibility of the lecturer is to grow and builds a strong personality of the student and to guide them in better ways. Education is the best way to help the nation to groom their abilities and to successful in future. Teaching should not count as a profession; it is more towards a responsibility to help the people in shaping their career and professional development. Due to inflation, there is a downfall for every industry except the education industry. Every organization is planning to cost-effective but still there are better opportunities for lecturers in the current economic disaster situation (EXETER, 2013). I want to get enough knowledge before starting the lectureship, so I can easily deliver it to my students without any hesitation and fear for lack of knowledge. I have chosen by pathway which is a bit long but it will help me to meet my destiny and have a successful future in it. Soon I am going to enroll in graduate assessment program, after passing it I will find a job in a multinational company to gain professional experience in Branding strategies and increasing the brand equity. I should have enough knowledge of the market and ability in the relevant field before I am going to start lectureship and deliver my knowledge to students (TheEducators, 2012). After getting almost 3-4 years professional experience I will apply for post-graduate program in Oxford University as it is the top university in the world. And my plan is to continue my lectureship in the same university so it will improve my chances to get lectureship if I get admission in the same university. Because during the PhD program, universities do offer to teach or be part of their research team to get some experience and earn at the same time. This will be good for my career and will increases chances to meet my dreams. I want to an expert of my field, and not to just have books knowledge. A professional should know all aspects either good or bad about the relevant field (EXETER, 2013). Oxford University is one of the leading educational institutions around the world. It is known for quality of education and the professional they have produced. Oxford University do offer faculty offers to their best students, and a promising career in research department (TheEducators, 2 012). The reason for choosing the same University for my studies which I have dreamed to work in is to learn their culture as a student and then while being the faculty member help the students which my teachers lacked. The main reason for doing PhD as it makes you stand out from the crowd, as in the world there are just a minor number of people who have plans to do PhD and have done PhD (SIMMONS, 2013). Standards to become a Lecturer According to Jobs.ac.uk, (2013) the basic need to become a lecturer is completely changes now. In earlier ages, the people do not required a post qualification degree but now it is necessary to complete PhD for lectureship. The qualification needs for lecture is to have a good masters degree with good GPA and a PhD in the relevant field. The lecturer will be requiring having some research or teaching experience. Hopefully while doing PhD program, I will be planning for career and working out on ways to maximize the chances of getting a job. The PhD will be the main basis of research experience. PhD took 3-4 years at least to complete and once it completed, it will go a long way to the career ladder. The lecturer should have professional experience which reflects their market knowledge and increase chances to get a lectureship. The lecturer should have enough knowledge which he/she going to deliver to students. And to have enough knowledge, the lecturer should master of their field. Students can ask any question which will come in their mind, and the lecturer is responsible to answer their queries on the spot (EXETER, 2013). According to SIMMONS (2013) Confidence is the most important thing which a lecturer should have. They are going to give presentations to students, answering for their questions and it can incase only if the lecturer is the master of the relevant field. The fear for lack of knowledge can destroy the career as the lecturer will not able to answer the students questions and while assessment of the lecturer, the students will give negative opinions which will not good for lecturer career. Lecturer should positive thinker. Teaching is not only a profession, it more a responsibility which help the student to groom their personality and build a positive character. If the lecturer is not a posi tive thinker then it will create negative impact on the nature of the student. Students are highly influenced by the teacher as they consider them as their mentor. According to (EXETER, 2013) the lecturer should posses the communication skills as their nature of the job is to communicate with students all the time. In class they will be delivering lecturer which is also a part of communication and out of the class; they will be giving counseling to students for betterment. Communication skills are very important in academic or non academic work. The first impression of the personality depends on the way of communication and choice of words. Effective communication not only helps in professional life, but also in personal life to make in a place in the hearts of people. Personal evaluation: The evaluation will be base on my career goal which I have chosen to make a career and way to live a life. The career I have chosen is to become a lecturer in Oxford University. The lectureship requires a person who is well qualified and the master of their field with some relevant experience (TheEducators, 2012). According to Jobs.ac.uk, (2013) the hiring institutions also assess personality of the person and their behaviors. As, far as the qualification and experience is concern, I am in a growing stage to groom my career and shine like a star. I am now enrolled in graduate program in the field of marketing with the majors of brand equity and strategies. After doing my graduation, I am going to enroll in many multinational firms for graduate recruitment process. Hopefully, after I get selected I will start working to gain some professional and market experience as it is the need to enroll in PhD Program. I want to work with Multinational Corporations to groom myself and shape mysel f as per need of market. After gaining 3-4 years experience I will apply for PhD program in Oxford University. The basic need for PhD is to have a good GPA in graduate program and as a good student I have 3.75 CGPA. I want to study in Oxford University on a scholarship and my academic qualification meets the need of it. According to Unimelb, (2013) as, far as the personality and character building is concern. I am a confident, hard-working student who has achieved scholarships several times. Getting a scholarship proves my likeness towards studies and knowledge of my relevant field in which I want to make a career. I am a brilliant and favorite student of my teachers with a positive behavior. My teachers also impress from my communication skills and they recommend me to a lecturer like them in future. As, my teacher are my mentor, I also want to mentor for my students and groom their personality with positive behavior and attitude. I have to analyze the SMART factors or build these factors in me for success in future. I am focus towards my specific career and can access easily as I have a simple personality. My hard work and determination makes things achievable for me and I understand the value of time as it is more important than money. I have a positive realistic approach through which I perceive d things and take decisions (EXETER, 2013). Graduate Recruitment Process According to Unimelb, (2013) the companies come to hire on campus recruitment or hires directly from their offices have the same criteria of choice. The choice criteria are to SMART with good qualification record. I have a good qualification record and a good and positive personality. The recruitment process will start after 6 months. I have decided to check all my courses which I have studied during my program. And I also have to focus on my SMART skills to impress the recruitment team during the interview through my behavior. The SMART skills include being specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-based (EXETER, 2013). The action plan will base on two stages first professional development objective and second professional development planning (EXETER, 2013). The Duration decided for each stage is 3 months as the total time remaining in graduate recruitment is 6 months. First stage: à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¢ The most important thing is to go to consultant and get advice on career building and planning. à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¢ Professional skills à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¢ Review all my course work I have done Second stage: à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¢ Skills audit à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¢ Personal development plan à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¢ Monitoring and evaluation In first stage, the goal of the life will develop on the basis of interest, skills and advises from family, friends, and consultant. It is the most important part of the action plan, and it should be base by SMART goal (EXETER, 2013). According to Unimelb, (2013) I should clear about what I want to in my future? Do I have the skills to that? In this part of the career development, I will take advises from consultant and try to develop and include professional skills like, leadership qualities, multi-tasking, occupational standards, and ability to compete. As, the recruitment team can ask academic questions I have to check all my course work during my program to revise and answer their questions with confidence. According to EXETER (2013) in second phase, the planning should make which focusing on how to meet my career goal. In this stage first I will analyze do I posses the skill I need for my selective career or I need to focus on improving those skills by doing SWOT analysis of myself. The SWOT will help me to find my strength and weakness with opportunities and threats. It will help me to convert my weakness into strength and opportunities into strength and remove threats to fill gap between me and the career I have chosen. The second part of this phase will focus on planning to improve skills by utilizing the resources I have. In this part I will plan what to learn and how to learn within the given framework of time. While improving my personality traits I will keep evaluating myself so I can compare difference from the hard work I have done. Professional identity: In today`s world, when the technology is so advanced and companies hire and advertise on internet for vacant positions. According to Jobs.ac.uk, (2013) I have to make profiles on different job portals to search and apply for vacancies which match my skills and qualification background. The profile will consist of my personal and academic qualification with experience if have any. The profile also includes the professional courses and skills which a person possesses so organizations can look into their profiles and test them during the graduate recruitment process. The job portals are as effective as they play the role of an agent between the person who is looking for a job and the company recruiting employees. The job portals give a platform to keep yourself updated about the vacant positions in your interested field. I will create profile on several job portals to increase the span of search for jobs and apply for them. It will increase my chances to get good job in a limited time. According to the LinkedIn, (2013) LinkedIn is a professional site which helps the people to get connected with professional people and get updates from them. Through LinkedIn a person can follow companies to get updates about the new opening and apply on suitable positions. My profile on LinkedIn will contain personal, professional, academic, and skill information which I have. The personal information has my name, address and contact number will mention so the firms can contact me through it. Professional information consists of professional experience and the internship but as I am going to a fresh graduate I have no experience. My academic qualification will be available for employers to look into as my highest level of education is a graduate with majors in brand equity. My academic qualification will contain my college record, years, my results and the courses I have studied. The profile also has information about the professional certificate courses I have done to improve my kn owledge and skills. According to Jobs.ac.uk, (2013) There are so many job portals that have the same process in which the job searcher needs to register them by making a profile which protected through password. As, the profile contain personal and professional information. The more number of job portals I will register myself, the higher the span of search which increases my chances to get a suitable job. These job portals just play the role of communication tool between the job searcher and hiring firm. These portals do not guarantee any employment thats only depends on the skills and qualification of the person applied for the job. Career development plan for 3 years According to SIMMONS (2013) the personal development plan will be focusing mainly on the graduate recruitment process. In development plan, the recruitment job will be the first ladder because my plan is to get an experience of over 4 years than apply for the PhD programs. Current plans will be including gaining as much as experience and learning to grow my skill and knowledge. Career development plan consist on finding a job in the relevant field and then keep evaluating myself to check the learning and the outcomes of hard work and determination. I will try to work in different job roles in my relevant field to get huge knowledge of professional workings. My focus will be on planning to improve skills by utilizing the resources I have. In this phase I will plan what to learn and how to learn within the given framework of time. While improving my personality traits I will keep evaluating myself so I can compare difference from the hard work I have done. Because my long term career objective is to become a lecturer and I need to gain some experience before applying for PhD. At the end of third working year I will apply for the PhD program in Oxford University because it is also a time consuming process and it will take a year to complete the requirement and completion of documents. From savings of the salary I will earn, will keep investing in different portfolio and to maximize my saving in order to have a contingency plan for the next 3 years.

To what extent can Reagan’s electoral victory in 1980 be put down to the rise of the new right?
1980's America saw a boom in a new group of hard-line Christians; known as the ââ¬Ënew right', a powerful group of republican evangelicals set on restoring the American morals of old (with somewhat a very archaic mindset for example no equality for homosexuals etc. ) This group took a very strong liking to Reagan and his strong Christian moral conservatism and thus earned him millions of votes in the election of 1980. Was Reagan's victory largely down to the rise of the new right? Or were there other more prominent factors, which lead to Reagan's victory? In 1980s America TV could be used as a powerful political tool, 67% of American's received 100% of all there news from the television, this clearly showing if televised speeches, debate and propaganda were used correctly it could be a direct, simple and powerful method to connect with the people- winning over the votes of millions of American's. Reagan executed all his televised appearances like a professional (he was an ex-Hollywood ââ¬Ëstar' which definitely helped immensely,) ââ¬Ëhe could read an autocue like a professional'. Also his personal traits were key ââ¬â portraying himself as a ââ¬Ëphysically attractive and charming man who was gracious and polite' this again helped him as all those were key and made Reagan a much more likeable person. Furthermore, Reagan also worked with general electric in the 60's where he was in charge of the TV shows; he also gained valuable electioneering skills during the job, as he had to meet thousands of people daily, also giving unrehearsed speeches to hundreds. The job handed him with a perfect chance to groom his campaigning skills to a respectable audience of 700,000, which was tiny compared to the people of America but still a good start, where he learnt how to be a people person and how to work the TV. In contrast to this his main opponent ââ¬â incumbent president, Jimmy Carter was quite the opposite to the charming, attractive Reagan. He delivered his ââ¬Ëcrisis of confidence' speech where he found it easy to find problems but couldn't seem to deliver any solutions. This again showed Reagan's superiority in these areas where he delivered short and direct targets such as reviving American strength in the world once again. This again gained him popularity as it gave the people something to look forward to and it showed he meant business unlike the passive carter. Carter, having completed one term in power had done next to nothing useful, he became know as a man who would deal with problems when they came rather than trying to predict them and stop them from happening- not what you want for the worlds most powerful man. During his presidency he grew more foolish and weak in the eys of America. Almost nothing positive happened during his presidency; America's ditente with the USSR ended, there was an energy crisis. Also his failure of a brother somewhat cast negativity towards him making him look more foolish and weak. His ââ¬Ëcrisis of confidence' speech was completely crazy he informed America of its problems including a lack of leadership- ââ¬Ënow all we need is leadership' a mildly retarded thing to say, as he was ââ¬Ëthe' leader of America, and still didn't give any solutions to the problems he presented. It was clear that nothing had changed for the good from Nixon's presidency. The economy was still stuck in the stagflation caused by Nixon, carter had done nothing but worsen it. Reagan used carters ââ¬Ënothing' presidency where almost nothing was done, to his advantage- he promised to renew prosperity by restoring the economy through ââ¬Ëreaganomics' where there would be lower taxes and less regulation ââ¬â curing the stagflation. No one knew it would work but it was a lot more than carter offered. Reagan also had vast amount of political training from being an active trade unionist where he established himself as a strong anti-communist (again extremely popular with the lingering cold war and also very popular with the new right who wanted a return of the traditional morals) and also the job was said to help ââ¬Ëgain an apprenticeship in negotiating, to develop an instinct for when to ââ¬Ëhang-tough' and when to cut a deal' by a political analyst- which would clearly help him become a successful president. He was also the governor of California from 1967-75, which was a massive success, and he managed to make California the seventh richest ââ¬Ëcountry' in the world- showing he knew how to work economics, which is what America vitally needed! He also had the experience of running for president as he had attempted on two other occasions. All this political experience would be priceless for his campaign. Reagan was also extremely conservative which also gained him lots of votes- as he stood for mostly traditional values such as; no abortion, pornography, drugs, and equality for homosexuals. He was also a strong evangelical Christian, which initially gained him the support of the new right and with it groups such as the ââ¬Ëmoral majority' as they had the backing from Reagan and they believed he was going to bring American morals back. He also gained support from the Neo conservative's traditionalists and anti feminists, also vitally he managed to get the support of the born again Christians even though carter tried his hardest to gain there support being a born again Christian too, Reagan managed to do so with his conservative ideology. The new right was essential for his campaign, as Reagan had such radical ideas many would have seen him as crazy and never given him a chance ââ¬â comparing him to the extremist Barry Goldwater. The new right rather embraced his ideas as they fitted in well with what they wanted. Reagan was extremely lucky that this spark in Christianity coincided with this electoral campaign as if he failed it would most probably be the end of him as he was aging and many were already hesitant to elect such an old man. In conclusion, ii feel it is very clear that the rise of the new right played a very significant role in Reagan's ascendancy to power, and without a doubt without this support he probably couldn't win as it allowed him to create a base of support from which he could build around and add onto. However, I believe that there were other more influencing factors which lead to his presidency such as his political ingeniousness particularly offering an intelligent solution to the stagflation suppressing the country, as well as the mans personal characteristics such as his personal charm and talent in front of the TV which allowed him to manipulate millions as they could see it with there own eyes that he was an astute leader. But, from the election results we see such a narrow win on Reagan's side this even so when millions of democrats didn't even vote, I believe that this shows us that Reagan won largely due to the failures of Carter as even though he was such a useless leader who did next to nothing he still managed to almost win the elections, furthermore he still came so close even with a large percent of his ââ¬Ëparty' boycotting the election- showing carter didn't have a very large support base, and if he did have decent opposition Reagan could have lost by a landslide.

The National Science Foundation ( Nsf ) - 1286 Words
The National Science Foundation (NSF) leads a $280 million initiative enabling researchers to recreate the most destructive natural forces on Earth by shaking and rocking full-sized structures. [1] In one experiment, Professor Tara Hutchinson tests steel beam resilience on the apparatus, on San Diegoââ¬â¢s outer limits. The earthquake machine utilizes strain gauges and accelerometers numbering in the hundreds to record the many forces that artificially induced seismic activity places on the structure. New building codes and retrofitting practices have emerged due to the successes achieved at the NSF research site. As a result, $65 million will go toward similar research equipment facilities over the next five years. As for Hutchinsonââ¬â¢s experiment, she discovered structural weaknesses during pretest trials that exerted little force on the test subject. The implication was that small earthquakes might weaken buildings before large events occur without leaving external clues. Learning From the Past Researchers, such as Professor Hutchinson, establish new safety standards and construction practices using empirical evidence. [2] Early natural hazard mitigation projects included massive, expensive and untested hazard deterrents, such as levees and floodgates. After a natural disaster in the 1960ââ¬â¢s, engineers discovered that the structures damaged the natural, protective landscape and offered insufficient hazard protection.
